Joseph’s background includes foreign policy, politics, law and international business. President William Clinton appointed Joseph as Chairman of the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, the US Government International think tank that works closely with various entities such as the US State Department. He also worked closely with UN Ambassador Richard Holbrooke on the funding of the UN. In 2000, he served as National Finance Chairman for US Vice President Al Gore’s presidential campaign. Joseph serves as the Secretary of the Board for Viscogliosi Brothers Asset Management. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Hi55, a British fintech company. Ciavierella Partners, his family office has invested in healthcare and technology platforms. He formerly was CEO of International Commerce and Trade, a global merchant bank in the Middle East, Europe and the United States. Joseph was educated at the University of Notre Dame (BA cum laude; JD) and the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government IOP Program (with distinction).
